Make sure that the eggs are secure

The first thing you will need for the Easter festivities is a very large non-stick pan or skillet. You should have about a cup and a half of water. This is going to be enough to cover the pan so that it doesn't smoke. Next you are going to want to line the bottom of the pan with wax paper so that nothing falls into the egg. Next, get some eggs and put them into the pan one at a time.

Make sure that you only use eggs that were used during last year's Easter parade. You don't want to try to use the Easter eggs that were used for last year because they may have mold on them. Next, put a lid on the pan and allow the eggs to cook for about two hours. Check them after about an hour and remove them from the oven. If you are having your kids help pick out their eggs then you are going to need a bag of paint.

This will be needed for lining the pan. After lining the bottom of the eggs, you will want to outline the theme on one side of each egg by painting in a pattern. For example, for Chinese characters you could outline the characters using red paint and then fill in the design with white paint. Next you are going to need to attach the eggs to the bottom of the pan with wax paper. Make sure that the eggs are secured and then just put the entire thing into the oven at the recommended temperature.

It is important that you set the eggs in the oven at the proper temperature so that they don't scorch. In the case of Chinese characters you just need to plastic printed eggs take a pair of tongs and slowly place the character onto the wax paper.

Once the eggs have cooled off you can remove them from the pan and display your work of art. You may decide to highlight or hide any of the characters that you chose. If you are making more than one batch of Chinese eggs then it is a good idea to use different colors. For this theme you are limited only by your imagination.
